The Las Vegas Raiders have found their backup quarterback in Brian Hoyer. They have signed him to a two-year deal with the financial details not disclosed yet.

Hoyer played college football at Michigan State University, where he was a backup quarterback for three seasons before becoming the team’s starting quarterback in his senior year. He finished his college career with 6,159 passing yards, 35 touchdowns, and 22 interceptions.

After going undrafted in the 2009 NFL Draft, Hoyer signed with the New England Patriots as a free agent. He spent three seasons with the team, serving as a backup to Tom Brady. Hoyer also played for several other NFL teams, including the Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers, Indianapolis Colts, and New England Patriots (again).

Throughout his NFL career, Hoyer, 37, has played in 69 games, starting in 38 of them. He has completed 873 of 1,447 passes (60.3%) for 10,404 yards, 52 touchdowns, and 34 interceptions.

Hoyer is known for his accuracy, decision-making, and leadership skills. He is often regarded as a reliable backup quarterback who can step in and perform well in the absence of a team’s starting quarterback.
