When Derek Carr was benched for the remaining two games of the 2022-23 NFL season, most people knew that would be the last time we would see him in a Las Vegas Raiders uniform.
Carr is due $40.4 million guaranteed over the next two seasons if he remains with the Raiders after February 15.
New Orleans Saints interested in a Derek Carr trade
Yahoo Sports reports Raiders management is looking to trade Carr before releasing him from his contract to see if they can obtain any assets. Carr visited the Saints last week to see what trajectory the team is headed and if he wants to play there.
The Raiders had a deal worked out with the Saints but it looks like Derek Carr has nullified the trade as his contract states he can veto any trade.
It is rumored that the Carolina Panthers, New York Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will all have interest in signing Carr this offseason.

What are fans saying about a Derek Carr trade
Every other team would have managed to get multiple decent picks for Carr. Raiders will get zilch.
Prob shouldn’t have done him dirty on week 17 and you may have got some compensation
He’s still probably coming just the Saints didn’t want to deal with that $40mil and Derek don’t want to reward the Raiders.
