
The New York Mets have re-signed reigning National League batting champ Jeff McNeil to a four-year contract extension worth $50 million and an annual average salary of $12,500,000.
McNeil, 31, was scheduled to go to an arbitration trial with the New York Mets, where he was requesting $7.75 million and they offered $6.25 million.
McNeil who hales from Santa Barbara, California was drafted in the 12th round by the New York Mets in the 2013 MLB entry draft.
