Jordan Love will now have two years to prove he is the Green Bay Packers quarterback of the future. His rookie deal ends at the end of the 2023 NFL season.
The Packers and Love agreed to a one-year extension worth up to $22.5 million (including $13.5 million fully guaranteed).
Love, 25, was drafted by the Packers in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft with the 26th overall pick.
Love played college football at Utah State, where he had an impressive sophomore season in 2018, throwing for 3,567 yards and 32 touchdowns. However, he struggled with interceptions during his junior year, throwing 17 interceptions compared to just 20 touchdown passes.
Despite those struggles, Love’s physical tools and potential convinced the Packers to trade up and select him in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

What are Packer fans saying about the Jordan Love contract?
Finally getting his chance to lead the Packers. Wonder how he’ll do.
5 Years studying and learning the game behind Aaron Rodgers it’s like history repeating itself. Just how Rodgers learned and watched while Brett Favre started, I think Love is gonna shock us all.
hmmm one-year extension. Packers do not have full confidence in him.
