Kyrie Irving trade to Lakers or Mavericks
Kyrie Irving has told Nets management that he will not re-sign with Brooklyn and would rather be traded by the NBA trade deadline.

The Brooklyn Nets are sitting in 4th spot in the NBA Eastern Conference with a solid 31-20 record, but that is not good enough for Kyrie Irving as he wants out of New Jersey.

Irving has told Nets management that he will not re-sign with Brooklyn in the summer and would rather be traded by the NBA trade deadline.

Lakers, Mavericks have interest in Kyrie Irving

ESPN NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski reports Kyrie Irving has not told Nets management he has a preferred destination but it is believed the LA Lakers would be one of his choice trade spots.

Wojnarowski went on to say, the Dallas Mavericks have had an interest in an Irving trade before and are willing to explore that option again.

The Dallas Mavericks desperately needs a co-star alongside superstar Luka Doncic. The question is, do the Mavericks want to give up the assets required to make an Irving trade and would Kyrie commit to Dallas on a long-term contract?

What are fans saying about a Kyrie Irving trade?

The Mavericks had Porzingis, Dinwiddie, and Wood. Hope Kyrie is ready to have 15 a night because Doncic can’t seem to play with others.

What do the Mavs have in assets? Their first round pick is going to the New York Knicks, but the protections go through 2025, so they can only trade their 2026 and 2028 first round I believe.

Trade Anthony Davis, Dennis Schroeder, some bench players and at least 2 draft picks. Lakers have a roster that’s not as injury prone and Kyrie and Bron win their second ring. Fits the script, or just pick him up in Free Agency in July.
