What are San Diego Padres fans saying about the Manny Machado signing

As a lifelong Padres fan, it’s unbelievable to see a San Diego Padres owner pay market price for great players—intentionally trying to win the World Series.

Brutal signing. Padres are the worse run organization in baseball. How many 10 yr contracts do they have? I still remember how they celebrated when they beat the Mets in the playoffs.

Glad to see a former “small market” team trying to win. That said no team can just endlessly had big money contracts forever, there needs to be a young core that has major league talent coming through to keep it sustainable.
