After a brutal first half of the season, the San Diego Padres appear to be buyers at the MLB trade deadline.

The San Diego Padres have been a disappointment this year. They currently sit with a 43-47 record and sit fourth in the tough NL West.

The Padres are 8 games back on the division leading LA Dodgers and are 6 games back of a wild card spot.

Despite the Padres well out of a playoff spot, San Diego appears to be buyers at the MLB trade deadline.

Padres will make moves at the MLB trade deadline

General Managers from around the league have contacted the San Diego Padres about the availability of some of their players and they have been told, they are not selling but will be buying at the MLB trade deadline.

If the Padres are indeed buyers, they will be looking to make trades for players in the bottom of the batting order and some depth pitching.

What are Padres fans saying about the team making trades?

The Padres need to trade Juan Soto. He is overrated, brutal defensively. Angels should go after him knowing Otani is walking after this season.

I am tired of one game win streaks. Change needs to be made of this team.

Please do not make any change to the Padres lineup. I love this team. They will turn things around in the 2nd half.
