Shohei Ohtani is going to have a great year in 2023 as Forbes expects him to make an astounding $65 million from his salary and endorsements.

The $65M mark will be a major league baseball record. Ohtani will make $30M in salary and $35M from various endorsements.

Shohei Ohtani is known for his rare two-way abilities as both a pitcher and a designated hitter.

Ohtani made his MLB debut in 2018 and had a successful rookie season, hitting .285 with 22 home runs and 61 RBIs, while also pitching to a 3.31 ERA with 63 strikeouts in 51.2 innings.

In 2019, Ohtani was limited to only hitting due to a previous injury, but he still managed to hit 18 home runs and drive in 62 runs in 106 games. He returned to pitching in 2021 and had a dominant season, posting a 3.18 ERA with 156 strikeouts in 130.1 innings pitched. He also hit .257 with 46 home runs and 100 RBIs, becoming the first player in MLB history to hit 45 or more home runs and pitch at least 100 innings in the same season.

Ohtani’s unique abilities have made him one of the most exciting players in baseball, and he has quickly become a fan favorite.
