Darren Waller trade to the NY Giants
The New York Giants have traded away a 3rd round pick for TE Darren Waller. Let's hope he stays healthy and has a huge year for the Giants.

The New York Giants are getting serious about wanting to be Super Bowl contenders as they have traded for former Pro Bowl tight end Darren Waller.

The Las Vegas Raiders received a 2023 third-round draft pick from the Giants in the Waller trade.

The Raiders acquisition of wide receiver Jakobi Meyers helped make Waller expendable and gives Giants QB Daniel Jones a legit weapon on offense if Waller stays healthy.

Waller, 30, played college football at Georgia Tech, where he primarily played as a wide receiver. He was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

In 2018, Waller was suspended for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy and missed the entire season. However, he received treatment for his addiction and turned his life around into one of the top Tight Ends in the league when healthy.

What are New York Giants fans saying about the Darren Waller trade?

My Giants just fleeced the Raiders. Welcome to the team Darren Waller.

Raiders have almost no defense just got a QB worse than Derek Carr got a WR for 30 mil that shouldn’t even get 3 mil and gave this dude up for a 3rd round pick. Damn.

A 3rd rounder for Darren Waller!!? As a Broncos fan all I gotta say is seeing the Raiders suffer is an absolute gold mine. Congrats to NY that was a straight up steal.
