The Texas Rangers have signed switch hitting outfield Robbie Grossman to a 1-year contract worth up to $5 million.

The Texas Rangers have filled a need in the outfield by signing switch hitter Robbie Grossman to a 1-year deal worth $2 million. Grossman can make up to $5 million if he hits all his incentives.

Grossman, 33, has played for several teams in his career, including the Houston Astros, Oakland Athletics, Atlanta Braves and Minnesota Twins. He is known for his ability to get on base and provides a left-handed bat and a veteran presence for the Texas Rangers.

A lot of y’all not understanding this signing. Grossman is good against lefties. Plus a very good discipline hitter. Rangers don’t have a lot of that. Very much needed.

Not another low WAR signing. Why. Not added value.

Is he the starter at left or Platoon? Bubba Thompson would be better starter because he could steal lots of bases because the larger bases.
