The Texas Rangers have filled a need in the outfield by signing switch hitter Robbie Grossman to a 1-year deal worth $2 million. Grossman can make up to $5 million if he hits all his incentives.
Grossman, 33, has played for several teams in his career, including the Houston Astros, Oakland Athletics, Atlanta Braves and Minnesota Twins. He is known for his ability to get on base and provides a left-handed bat and a veteran presence for the Texas Rangers.
