The Detroit Tigers received some bad news as outfielder Riley Greene has a stress fracture in his knee and is out indefinitely.

The Detroit Tigers have received some disappointing news as their second-year star is out indefinitely with a stress fracture in his fibula.

There is no word on how long the outfielder will be out as Riley Greene is seeking a second opinion.

Greene, 22, was batting .296 with five home runs and 18 RBIs with a team-leading 60 hits and 29 runs scored.

Greene is known for his smooth left-handed swing, which generates power to all fields. Greene also possesses good speed and solid defensive skills in the outfield, with the ability to track down fly balls and make accurate throws.

What are Tiger fans saying about the Riley Greene injury?

We need to move Riley to corner to avoid injuries in the future. Center field can put wear and tear on the body… off-season goal should be acquiring a pure center fielder.

With the way Riley Greene throws his body around in the outfield I’m not surprised.

Greene is the Tigers present and future star. Let’s hope he has a long career with the Tigers.
